In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we process, why we process this data, with which parties we share data, how long we retain data, and what rights you have.

- country and region;

- phone number, if provided or necessary for delivery;

In principle, we do not receive your full credit card or bank details. These are processed by the payment service provider you have chosen.
3. Why do we process personal data?
Processing and executing orders
When you place an order, we process personal data to register your order, process the payment, produce the product, ship the order, and keep you informed about the progress.
The legal basis for this is the execution of the agreement you enter into with us.
Processing payments
To process payments, we share the data necessary for the chosen payment method with our payment service providers. Depending on your choice, this may include Mollie, PayPal, Klarna, or a credit card payment service.
Payment service providers may also process personal data for their own legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, risk assessment, and, if applicable, credit assessment. The privacy statement of the relevant payment service provider also applies to such processing.
Production and shipping via Printful
A significant part of our products is produced and shipped on demand by Printful. To fulfill your order, we provide Printful with the data necessary for production and delivery, such as your name, delivery address, contact details, and information about the ordered product.
The production location and carrier used may vary by product, destination, and availability. Therefore, the carrier may also differ per order.
This processing is necessary for the execution of the agreement with you.
Customer accounts
When you create an account, we process data to manage the account and to give you access to your order details, addresses, and account settings.
The processing takes place based on the execution of our agreement with you and our legitimate interest in providing customers with an account environment.
Customer service and contact forms
When you contact us or fill out a contact form, we process the data you provide to answer your question, request, or complaint.
Depending on the content of the request, this is done based on the execution of an agreement, taking steps prior to an agreement, or our legitimate interest in being able to answer questions from customers and visitors.
Reviews
When you leave a review, we process the information you provide with the review. A review may be displayed publicly on our website along with the chosen name or username.
We may process technical data to prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent reviews.
The processing takes place based on your choice to leave a review and our legitimate interest in allowing customers to share experiences with our products and to prevent abuse.
Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter. For this, we use MailerLite.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we process your email address and, if provided, other information such as your name. We use this information to send news, product information, offers, and other commercial communications from Cadenza Goods.
We send such newsletters based on your consent or, where legally permitted, based on an existing customer relationship.
You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter. You can also contact us at info@cadenzagoods.com.
Administration and Legal Obligations
We process and retain certain order, customer, and transaction data because we are legally required to do so, among other things, under tax and administrative legislation.
The legal basis for this is compliance with a legal obligation.
Security and Fraud Prevention
We may process technical data, account data, and transaction data to protect our website, customers, and systems against fraud, abuse, spam, unauthorized access, and other security risks.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping our webshop and services secure.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cadenza Goods uses cookies and similar technologies. We distinguish between necessary, functional, analytical, and marketing cookies.
Necessary and Functional Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the webshop to function properly. They are used, for example, to store products in the shopping cart, keep an account logged in, perform security functions, and remember your cookie preferences.
No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.
Analytical Cookies
We use Google Analytics to gain insight into the use of our website, for example, which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at the website, and how the website is used.
To the extent that the use of Google Analytics leads to processing for which consent is required, Google Analytics will only be activated after you have given consent via our cookie banner.
Advertising and Tracking Technology
We use, among others, Google Ads and Meta Pixel.
With these services, we can measure whether advertisements are effective, create target audiences, and make advertisements more relevant.
These technologies may collect information about your use of our website, including visited pages, viewed products, purchases, browser data, device data, IP address, and online identifiers.
Google Ads and Meta Pixel are only activated after you have given consent via our cookie banner, to the extent that such consent is legally required.
You can later withdraw or change your consent via the cookie settings on our website.
More information about the cookies used, providers, purposes, and retention periods can be found in our cookie policy and in the cookie settings on the website.
5. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our website and forms from spam, bots, abuse, and automated attacks.
When using reCAPTCHA, technical data may be processed, such as IP address, device and browser information, and data about interactions with our website.
This processing takes place due to our legitimate interest in ensuring the security of our website and forms.
6. With Which Parties Do We Share Personal Data?
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share personal data when it is necessary for our services, when we are legally required to do so, or when you have given consent.
We may share data with:
- Printful for production, fulfillment, and shipping of orders;
- Mollie for processing payments;
- PayPal when you use PayPal as a payment method;
- Klarna when you use a Klarna payment method;
- credit card companies, acquiring banks, and payment networks for credit card payments;
- carriers and logistics service providers for delivering orders;
- MailerLite for managing and sending our newsletter;
- Google for, among other things, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and reCAPTCHA;
- Meta for Meta Pixel and advertising services;
- hosting and IT service providers that are necessary for the functioning and securing of our website;
- administrative, accounting, and tax service providers if necessary;
- government agencies, regulators, or law enforcement agencies when we are legally required to provide data.
With parties that process personal data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement or other appropriate agreement where necessary.
Some parties, such as banks and payment service providers, may be independent data controllers for certain processing. In that case, they process personal data according to their own privacy statement and legal obligations.
7. WordPress and WooCommerce
Our webshop uses WordPress and WooCommerce.
Through these systems, among other things, account information, orders, customer data, reviews, and technical data are processed that are necessary for the functioning of our webshop.
In addition, we use plugins and technical solutions, including Rank Math and LiteSpeed Cache, for search engine optimization, performance, and technical management of the website. Depending on the configuration, technical data may be processed.
8. Transfer of personal data outside the EEA
Some of our service providers operate internationally. As a result, personal data may be processed or stored outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States or in countries where production and fulfillment partners are active.
This may apply, among other things, to services from Printful, Google, Meta, MailerLite, PayPal, and other international service providers.
When personal data is processed outside the EEA, we ensure, as far as it falls under our responsibility, that there is a valid transfer basis for this.
This may occur, for example, on the basis of:
- a decision of adequacy by the European Commission;
- the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, when the relevant American organization is certified for this;
- standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission;
- other legally permitted safeguards or exceptions.
9. Printful and international production
Because we use Printful for production and fulfillment, an order may be produced and shipped from different countries. The production location depends, among other things, on the product, stock, destination, and available production capacity.
Personal data that are necessary to produce and deliver your order may therefore be processed by Printful and by parties that Printful engages for fulfillment and delivery.
We only provide data that are necessary for the execution of your order.
10. Payment service providers and automated decision-making
Cadenza Goods does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal consequences for you or otherwise significantly affect you.
Payment service providers such as Klarna, PayPal, Mollie, credit card companies, or other financial service providers may, however, independently carry out fraud prevention, risk analyses, identity checks, or credit assessments.
In certain cases, they may use automated decision-making or profiling. A payment may, for example, be refused or a certain payment method may not be made available.
The terms and privacy statement of the relevant payment service provider apply to this processing.
11. How long do we retain personal data?
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless we are legally obliged to retain the data longer.
As a rule, we apply the following retention periods:
- Order and invoice data: in principle 7 years as far as they are part of our tax administration.
- Data subject to a longer tax retention obligation: for the legally prescribed period. For certain data related to the European one-stop shop system for VAT, a retention period of 10 years may apply.
- Customer account: as long as the account is active or as long as this is reasonably necessary for the service. After deletion of the account, data that we are legally required to retain may be kept longer.
- Contact forms and customer service: as long as necessary to handle the request and thereafter for a reasonable period when this is necessary for follow-up, proof, or disputes.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or until we determine that the address is no longer usable. Information that can demonstrate that consent has been given may be retained longer when necessary to comply with our legal accountability obligation.
- Reviews: as long as the review is relevant and remains published, unless you request deletion and there is no legal reason to retain it.
- Cookie and analytics data: in accordance with the retention periods specified in our cookie settings and our cookie policy.
- Security and log data: as long as reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, investigation of incidents, and protection of our systems.
12. Your privacy rights
Under the GDPR, you have various rights regarding your personal data.
You have, provided that the legal conditions are met, the right to:
- access the personal data we process about you;
- have incorrect or incomplete personal data corrected;
- have your personal data deleted;
- have the processing of your personal data restricted;
- object to certain processing;
- receive your personal data in a transferable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- object to processing for direct marketing.
When you withdraw your consent, this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the moment you withdrew your consent.
You can submit a request via info@cadenzagoods.com.
We may ask you for additional information to verify your identity before we fulfill a request. We generally respond within one month to a privacy request. If a request is complex or if we receive multiple requests, this period may be extended under the conditions of the GDPR.
13. Filing a complaint
If you believe that we are not processing your personal data correctly, we ask you to first contact us at info@cadenzagoods.com.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority or, if you reside in another EU or EEA country, with the competent privacy regulator in your country.
14. Security of personal data
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unlawful alteration.
These measures include, where appropriate, secure connections, access restrictions, strong authentication, software updates, security measures within WordPress and WooCommerce, and measures against spam and automated attacks.
However, no method of data transmission or storage via the internet can guarantee absolute security.
15. Minors
Our webshop is not specifically aimed at children. We do not intend to knowingly collect personal data from children who, according to applicable law, cannot independently give consent for the processing of their personal data.
If you suspect that we have processed personal data of a minor without valid consent, please contact us at info@cadenzagoods.com. We will assess the relevant data and delete it if necessary.
16. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. Cadenza Goods is not responsible for the privacy policy or content of third-party websites.
We advise you to read the privacy statement of an external website before providing personal data there.
17. Changes to this privacy statement
We may modify this privacy statement when our services, website, services used, or legislation changes.
The most current version is always published on our website. At the top of this privacy statement, it indicates when it was last updated.
